Meet Nat Erbes

Nat Erbes taught GCSE, A-Level, and IBDP sciences in the UK and Middle East before joining the International Baccalaureate (IB) for over six years where he served as a curriculum manager, and later as a senior manager leading the team responsible for the review of the IB’s Middle Years Programme. He later held a global policymaking role at the IB, looking at how IB world schools are authorised and evaluated. Nat has deep curriculum expertise, and has first hand experience in developing frameworks, guidance and policy to make abstract educational ideas both practical, and adaptable to different contexts.

Meet Rita Bateson

Rita is the Co-founder and Director of Education at Eblana Learning. She is a renowned educator, author, and mentor with over 20 years in international education. A former Senior Curriculum Manager at IB Global Headquarters, she was also the founding Head of School for an IB continuum school. Rita now focuses on helping schools ethically embrace AI, offering expert guidance to navigate rapid technological change.

Meet Mariel Reid

Mariel, a seasoned educator specializing in gifted and neurodivergent students. With a master’s in Pastoral Care, she explores student agency and engagement as an MYP teacher. Experienced in cutting-edge projects like Google Gemini and Italy’s first AI + Education Fellowship, she advocates for ethical AI in education.
